Saint Raphael School is growing! Last year we added twenty new students and anticipate similar growth for the upcoming year. In response to our changing needs, we are building additive positions to our staff. Kitchen Supervisor

Saint Raphael Catholic School is looking for an organized, experienced Kitchen Supervisor for the school’s hot lunch program. This is a full time 10 month position 32-40 hours a week. The hot lunch kitchen supervisor position is to provide food service for the Pre-K through 8th grade school program which includes creating, planning and developing nutritional, economical, and attractive hot lunch meals for the school.

Operational Responsibilities Include:

  • Promote Saint Raphael hot lunch program to encourage maximum participation
  • Possess the Managers Serve Safe License from the State of Minnesota or can apply for and receive a license from the State of Minnesota in a prompt manner.
  • · Maintain a sanitary kitchen including appropriate food handling procedures, food storage.
  • Manage and procure food ordering and supplies
  • Food preparation, serving, and cleanup
  • Management and supervision of school kitchen staff
  • Compile daily reports as required
  • Ability to learn the school hot lunch data management program
  • Maintain knowledge of school events, activities and schedules pertaining to the lunch program
  • Comply with state and federal rules and regulations
  • Participate in the reimbursement program for free and reduced lunch prices and the commodity programs
  • Manage hot lunch budget, which includes ongoing analysis of income and expense controls
  • Compile daily and monthly hot lunch records
  • Complete reports as required for federal disbursement and commodity programs
  • Create monthly menus for distribution and publication

Financial Responsibilities Include:

  • Manage budgeted revenue and expenses for hot lunch program
  • Order food inventory

Professional Responsibilities Include:

  • Maintain respectful relationships with students, parents, and staff
  • Attend periodic training, workshops and meetings as required
  • Maintain confidentiality in financial matters, student information, and other aspects related to the hot lunch program
