Saint Raphael Sports

“I have competed well; I have finished the race; I have kept the faith.” 2 Timothy 4:7

Saint Raphael Catholic School does not always define success by the numbers on the scoreboard, but by each player becoming the best version of themselves as children of God, and in helping the team in whatever way they can. We believe our students and teams should improve as athletes and as individuals, and should represent our school by exemplifying Christ in our community and beyond.

Saint Raphael teams play in the North Suburban Parochial School League (NSPSL) for all sports.

Practices and Games

All practice dates and times will be provided to you via e-mail by our coaching staff. Practices are generally held on weekdays at 2:30-4pm or 4-5pm, with some practices on Saturdays. However, some practice times may vary depending on the coach’s schedule.

Coaches

The coaches are volunteers that serve our school and church by blessing us with the gifts of their hands and feet. If a coach has a child in the program their athletic fee is waived. All coaches must undergo background checks and complete the Virtus training program. We welcome all members of our community to serve our school and students as a mentor/coach!

Student Behavior & Code of Conduct

We ask all students to understand that they are student first and athlete second. Team practice should be considered the last class of their day. They are expected to demonstration as much diligence, attention, and respect as in the classroom.

All student athletes must maintain a C-average (or above) in all class work, and cannot be failing any classes at mid-term or trimester. If a student is failing they may not continue to participate in sports until they are again showing passing work. They athletic director will contact the parents and coaches, and will try to assist the student to again be a part of the school team.
